Meet the Staff
Buck served in the capacity of Corporate Manager for another canine services company, managing all canine services in Afghanistan, to include a large U.S. Military contract providing all canine services in southern Afghanistan. Buck also worked for this canine services company in Iraq and the United States. Buck has over twenty years experience as a canine handler, trainer, canine unit commander and P.O.S.T. certified canine evaluator, certified by the State of California. Buck is a retired law enforcement official, with many years of experience. Buck has developed canine units for four separate police agencies and has served as a canine consultant for the Northern California League of Cities. Buck served as the canine trainer of record for police agencies in California and he supervised numerous police dog teams. Buck has conducted yearly canine evaluations for over 100 police service dogs. Buck also served four years in the United States Marine Corps., where he served as a machine gunner and as an aviation ordnance technician. Internationally, Buck has managed numerous dog teams in his career, to include assisting in large mobilization/de-mobilization operations. Buck has written and taught numerous canine training courses throughout California and internationally. He has experience as an instructor/facilitator, teaching law enforcement courses at a Bachelors degree level for the University of Phoenix in southern Nevada. Buck holds a Masters degree in Management, a Bachelors degree in Organizational Leadership and an Associates degree in Administration of Justice. Buck is also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

Luis Montalvo, Director-Canine Services
Luis has over nine years of proactive canine services experience, working in the capacity of canine handler, assistant country trainer, supervisor and Kennel Master. Luis began his canine career working with Law Enforcement canine units in southern Texas. Luis has experience working service dogs in some of the most hostile areas of Iraq and Afghanistan. Luis has participated in numerous military missions while assigned to U.S., British, Australian and Dutch Special Forces and has aided other Coalition Forces in conducting missions though out southern Afghanistan. Luis has participated in numerous military combat raids/convoys and patrols, where he was required to search buildings, vehicles, open areas and routes with his canine partner. Luis has experience assisting the State Department by searching vehicles, aircrafts and packages with a Narcotics Detection Dog. Luis was assigned to assist the U.S. Navy Seal Team by conducting vehicle, building and open area searches for the Prime Minister and President of Iraq. He also assisted the Iraqi Military Forces, Iraqi Police Forces and Iraqi Government, providing canine services.
